The artist uses his “do-it-yourself” setting to flood a room with light. It is something that he has always wanted to do. In a long, choreographed programme consisting of animation, projectors and curved mirrors, Heijden-Hume offers us a mysterious low-definition opera on abstraction and atmosphere.

The video installation entitled “Eskalation Eisskulptur Epsilon (ε)” is an allegory of ex- cessiveness. The video, shot from a top view, shows the female performer bathing in 150 litres of ice cream. In analogy to the camera perspective, it is projected onto the floor, between two steep, three-tiered stands.
